The 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux season came to its dramatic conclusion at Circuit Zandvoort. Nestled between the North Sea dunes, Zandvoort is one of the most iconic and demanding circuits in Europe. Famous for its sweeping corners, fast undulations, and the tricky banked turns of Hugenholtz and Arie Luyendyk, the track punishes mistakes but rewards bravery. With constantly changing coastal weather, Zandvoort is a circuit where adaptability is just as important as raw speed — the perfect stage for a championship showdown.
For Frank, this was the ultimate test: the season finale that would decide the Rookie Championship.
Friday – Finding the Pace
FP1: The weekend started in style. Frank immediately showed speed, finishing P1 overall, a tenth clear of his rival. To put it into perspective: earlier this year, pole at Zandvoort was set at 1:36.7 under dry conditions. Frank’s best lap in FP1 was 1:37.936, achieved in changing weather.
FP2: On a fully dry track, the pace remained strong. Frank ended the session just 0.005 seconds off P1. The message was clear — the car had the speed, and Frank was ready.

Saturday – Qualifying & Race 1 Challenges
Qualifying: Saturday morning greeted us with a wet track. All Friday’s data had to be reset — Zandvoort in the rain is a completely different challenge. Frank adapted brilliantly, finding rhythm on the damp but drying circuit, and secured P5 overall and Rookie Pole.
Race 1: In the afternoon, Frank had a strong start, but an error saw him run wide and lose positions. Fighting back through the field, he made contact with a competitor and ended up in the wall. Despite rear damage, he pushed on, sliding the car through Zandvoort’s sweeping corners and bringing it home. The team worked late into the night to repair the car for Sunday’s decider.
Sunday – The Decider in the Dunes
Sunday was all or nothing. Whoever finished ahead in the Rookie class would be champion.
The race began with nerves running high. Frank led for much of the race, battling side by side with his rival Marczak. For lap after lap, the two were separated by less than a second, glued together through Zandvoort’s fast corners and blind crests.
In the closing stages, Marczak found a way past. Frank kept the pressure on, making several late attempts, but the tight, flowing nature of Zandvoort left few opportunities to strike back. At the flag, Frank crossed the line second in the Rookie Championship battle.

A Season to Remember
The result doesn’t tell the full story. Frank’s rookie season has been outstanding — showing determination, growth, and raw fighting spirit at one of the toughest circuits in Europe.
A huge thank you goes to the entire crew, who worked tirelessly to keep the car fighting until the very last lap of the season. Without their dedication, we wouldn’t have been in the position to challenge for the title.
This finale at Zandvoort is not the end, but a beginning. Silver today, gold tomorrow. We’ll be back.
