Report of the weekend. After a disastrous qualifying session, which was prematurely halted due to a serious incident at Eau Rouge, there was fear of a doomsday scenario where a number of drivers could potentially face a start ban for exceeding the allowed time due to their inability to complete a fast lap. The biggest victim in Q1 was Niels Langeveld, who had already shown his great talent and form in the free practices. Dirk Schouten also suffered with a very low ranking. The surprise came from Valters Zviedris, who managed to secure a P2 on the starting grid with an early brilliant lap time. The Q1trackracing star of Race 1 was Valters, who, despite a difficult start, ultimately secured a fantastic P4 overall and P2 in the Rookie category. Dirk and Niels had to work their way up from the back of the field and finished P10 and P11, respectively.
Then came the moment of glory for Dirk Schouten in race 2, who despite a penalty, clinched a fabulous victory and left all competitors in his wake. Following closely was Niels, achieving a magnificent P5 in his first weekend with Porsche. Valters finished P14 after experiencing misfortune due to the qualifying incident. The Q1 management is extremely pleased with the team's and our drivers' performances. Now the focus shifts to Zandvoort.
