Round five of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux 2025 brought us to Circuit Zolder, a legendary 4 km track in Belgium. Known for its technical chicanes, heavy braking zones, and narrow layout, Zolder has been home to everything from Formula 1 in the late ’70s and early ’80s to countless touring car and endurance battles. It’s a circuit that punishes mistakes but rewards precision and bravery — and one we as a team know well from earlier races this season, including the Supercar Challenge and the 24 Hours. This time, however, it was all about Frank in the PCCB, with crucial points at stake for the Rookie Championship.
Friday – Making a Statement
Friday marked the first practice sessions. For us, the focus was fully on the Rookie Championship with Frank.
Right out of the gate, he made a statement: P6 overall and P1 among the rookies. The field was incredibly close, with just fractions separating the cars — proof that every detail would count this weekend.

Saturday – Qualifying Battles
Saturday started with another practice, and once again, Frank showed consistency: P6 overall, P1 Rookie, this time with a more comfortable margin over his rivals.
Qualifying brought the tension up a notch. On a short and tight track like Zolder, the entire field was within 1.5 seconds. Frank pushed hard in his first run but saved the best for the final minutes. The team bolted on a fresh set of tires, and with just minutes left he delivered: 1:30.549.
To put things into perspective — he missed his Rookie Championship rival by just 0.029 seconds. That’s less than the blink of an eye, about half the time it takes to snap your fingers. A razor-thin margin, but one that left us still perfectly placed to fight back in the races.
Sunday – Race Day Drama
Sunday was all about the races. Two opportunities, two chances to collect maximum points for the Rookie standings.
-
Race 1 – 12:20
Frank got a strong start and quickly engaged in battles with the cars ahead. Midway through the race, he overtook his Rookie rival for the lead and never looked back. He held on firmly to the end, scoring maximum points with a P1 finish in the Rookie class. -
Race 2 – 15:50
The second race turned out tougher. Frank started well and fought hard once again with his championship rival. Both pushed to the limit, but contact forced Frank off track. The impact damaged the suspension — the steering was crooked, and the alignment was off. Despite this setback, the team encouraged him to keep going. Showing determination, Frank nursed the car home to finish P4 among the rookies, salvaging valuable championship points.

It was a weekend of highs and lessons learned. A rookie win, strong pace, and the fighting spirit to finish even when the car wasn’t perfect — all proof that both Frank and the team are ready for more.
With the season finale at Zandvoort up next, the goal is clear: finish strong and fight for every last point.
Thanks to the entire crew for their hard work once again — now it’s time to give everything in Zandvoort!
