The second half of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux season had begun, and this past weekend the championship visited the legendary TT Circuit Assen for The Racing Day.
Friday – Free Practice
Friday started with the first practice sessions on the fast and flowing track of Assen. Known for its high-speed corners and technical layout, it was a new challenge for both of our rookies. Frank immediately showed strong pace, finishing just six tenths off the overall leaders and placing himself at the top among the rookies. Alexandra, who was also learning the track for the first time, ended her opening session in 6th place in the rookie classification.
In FP2, both drivers built on their first experience. Alexandra made a huge step forward, improving her lap time by almost two seconds compared to FP1 – a fantastic result that highlighted her progress throughout the day. With that momentum, the team went into Saturday with confidence.

Saturday – Qualifying & Race 1
Qualifying brought strong performances. Frank secured P2 in the rookie class, just three tenths off overall pole, while Alexandra set her personal best lap of the weekend, earning her 6th in the rookie standings.
After the autograph session, it was time for the first race. Frank delivered a brilliant performance, taking victory in the rookie class and closing the gap to his main championship rival. Alexandra also put in a solid drive, showing consistency and collecting valuable experience on this challenging circuit.
Sunday – Race 2
Sunday’s Race 2 turned into one of the most exciting battles of the season. Due to a five-second penalty for Ho, the fight for the overall win came down to the very last laps. Frank came incredibly close, finishing just one tenth of a second short of the outright victory. Nevertheless, he secured another rookie class win, making it a perfect weekend in terms of points.
For Alexandra, Race 2 brought another step forward as she crossed the line in P5 in the rookie classification, rounding off a weekend where she continued to learn and adapt to a demanding track.

Eyes on Zolder
With two rookie victories for Frank and clear progress from Alexandra, the team left Assen with strong momentum. Next up is Circuit Zolder, the penultimate round of the championship, followed by the final race at Zandvoort in September that will decide how the season concludes.
