R4 GTCE - Paul Ricard

The second half of the GT Cup Europe season has officially begun!
After a weekend at Hockenheim that didn’t quite go our way, we were determined to turn things around at Circuit Paul Ricard in France.

Friday – Finding Our Feet

Friday featured Free Practice 1 and 2 – our main goal was to get to know the track and dial in the setup ahead of the races scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
FP1 was mainly about experimenting and gathering data, so the times didn’t fully reflect our potential. By FP2, both the pace and the track temperature picked up significantly.

We made some gains in lap times within our classes, but so did our competitors – it was going to be tight.

Saturday – Time to Deliver

Saturday was all about Qualifying 1 and Race 1.
After a solid qualifying effort, we lined up P2 in PRO-AM, P3 in SILVER, and P7 in AM. Overall, that meant starting from P5, P8, and P14 – room for improvement, but a promising position.

Race 1 took place under scorching conditions – 45°C track temp and 30°C in the air. Despite the heat, our drivers kept their cool and managed to gain positions throughout the race.
It paid off: we finished on the podium in every class!
🏁 PRO-AM – P2
🏁 SILVER – P3
🏁 AM – P2

A great reward for the hard work put in by the entire team – the cars were absolutely on point.

Sunday – Pushing Through

Sunday brought Qualifying 2 and Race 2, kicking off with an early morning session already marked by rising temperatures. In qualifying, we secured P5 in PRO-AM, P2 in SILVER, and P6 in the AM class. That placed our cars overall in P14, P6, and P11 on the grid – leaving us with a bit more work to do compared to Saturday.

And the team rose to the challenge once again. The race was packed with battles, and all three cars gained multiple positions. The final results:
🏁 PRO-AM – P2
🏁 SILVER – P3
🏁 AM – P5

On top of that, Lars and Gonçalo secured a P3 finish in the overall classification – a fantastic achievement and a reflection of their pace all weekend long.

Summer break!

We now head into a short summer break before preparing for Round 5 in Barcelona. A big thanks to the whole crew and drivers for their relentless effort and teamwork – we’ll be back stronger than ever!
